Laurel Oak Fashion Show Fall 2010
All about dresses, dresses, dresses and models, models, models.
Starting with makeup at 10AM to Kristy, Diane, Christine and I cleaning up the piles of messy dresses at 5PM. All the models running about. Slipping in and out of wedding dresses twice in a 10 minute period, which is really a 30 second period when they are on stage for 4.5 minutes at a time. It’s crazy, pushing on veils and birdcages, shoes and jewelry. Maybe I should introduce…
Kristy is the boss. She says what to do and its done. She’s the main mastermind behind what dresses, what jewelry, and what model, and Kristy always gets it right.
Diane’s the producer, she goes to all the events and we call her in quite a few saturdays when we are slammed with customers. Sweet as pie.
Christine’s the model, though she also works at the store with the rest of us. Nena (our seamstress) call’s her Cleopatra, because she’s a strong woman, and she looks like Cleopatra, you’ll see.
I’m Ali or mini-Kristy and I just do whatever they tell me to do. sometimes adding my own twist or putting my two cents in. The youngest and the wildest, maybe.
The four of us usually work the shows, although there’s more staff at the store who are the most fabulous women in Sarasota and the greatest consultants. Above are the pictures from our latest fashion show. This first one is Cleo, so fabulous.
